“Books are the quietest and most constant of friends; they are the most accessible and wisest of counselors, and the most patient of teachers.”
It is rightly said that reading is a starting step of many things, which builds a more solid stairs for you to climb up achieving something big out there. With the desire to inculcate the “habit of reading” among our Woodlanders , Five days scholastic book Fair was organized from Tuesday, 18th December to Saturday 22nd December 2018 so as to introduce students with the set of the most interesting and informative books. Enthusiasm and curiosity to explore books among students marked the days. The resource person was Ms. Shikha Sood who is responsible for product training and research developments and for the induction of new concepts in the Academic program for scholastic India. A very informative workshop was organized on Wednesday, 19th December for G-4 and G-5 students. The aim was to enhance the skill of creative writing and teaching the art of writing an impactful story. In addition to this, very interesting activities i.e. zig saw puzzles, Cross word puzzle and coloring activities were conducted for Pre K to G-3.
As students enjoyed purchasing books, Book Fair has increased in stature from an exhibition phenomenon for publishers and authors, to a celebration of literature and the arts from all over the world.
