“Safety is 30% Common sense; 80% Compliance and the rest is good luck.”
In the modern scenario where accidents are a part and parcel of life, dealing with unforeseen incidents related to health are a major concern. However small, the incidents can take a heavy toll on one’s life. Guaranteeing that the children are safe in school, it is imperative for the teachers to learn to remain calm and composed during some emergency health situations and also learn about the initial assistance that can be provided. Hence, to familiarize the teachers with basic roles and responsibilities as a first aid responder especially during seizures, the school organized a session for all the teachers from Pre-K to G-12 on Saturday, 3rd August 2019 in the seminar hall to equip the faculty and build up incredibly versatile skill of saving a human life by presenting them the tool to prevent the situation from worsening further.
Addressing the teachers, our thoughtful Dean Dr. Simerjeet Kaur remarked that Woodland since its inception has been a child oriented school, hence it is the moral duty of the school to take every step to ensure a safe and congenial environment in school. The session was much informative as the teachers learnt how to deal with a child in case of a seizure attack in class.
Safety first is safety always!!!!!
