A time for Celebration
A time for victory of virtue over vice.
A time when would can see the example of power of righteousness, the power of good.
Woodlands aim to strike a balance between introducing students to a global outlook and teaching them about the rich and diverse Indian culture. Reiterating this ideology and to create a buzz amongst the students. Dussehra was celebrated with much gusto in the school premises on Friday, 4th October 2019.
The School campus was decked up beautifully with flowers and buntings dripping in religious ambiance and cultural festivity.
As Dussehra or Vijya Dashmi celebrates valor and courage, the triumph of good over evil, light over darkness and happiness over gloom. To commemorate the festival and to add to the grandeur of the event, the function kicked off with a synchronized voice recital, followed by a stunning act of Ramlila presenting scenes from the banishment of Lord Rama from Ayodhya, Ashoka Vatika and the victory over evil demon Ravana along with a series of extravagant and super charged dance performances making the audience mesmerized and enthused.
The school environs reverberated to the chantings of “Ram Stuti” with a superfluous dance performance of G-4 and G-5 Woodlanders.
The Students were awed by Ravana and cheered for all the performances.
