Basant Jubilation

Monday, 27th January’2020 embarked the Basant Panchami jubilation in the premises of Woodland Overseas School. It is the festival of North India marks the advent of spring season, the festival of joy and happiness. The celebration commenced with remembering God evoking the blessings of Goddess Saraswati for seeking knowledge and wisdom Saraswati Puja created a pious aura in the premises.

The Day was celebrated by the students with great fervor and enthusiasm. Children were decked up in radiant shades of yellow dresses (The representative of spiritual knowledge). They offered yellow florets to the Goddess and brought yellow food in their Tiffin’s. K-I and K-II Woodlanders brimmed the stage with their enlighting dance performance and made every one rock on the melodious bhangra beats. Tiny tots of Pre-K enjoyed the craft activity in which they drew creative embellished drawings and soared their imagination high. Our reverent Principal Ms. Puja Dhiman blessed the Woodlander to soar high up in the sky like kites, and come out with more flying colors. Our esteemed Dean Dr. Simerjeet Kaur blessed the Woodlanders and conveyed that the festival signifies happiness which brighter up our lives and may the fragrances of joy, love and unity spread in everyone life.
