Jalandhar Sahodaya Hindi Poem Recitation Competition: First Prize

Anushka Thakur of Grade-5 Amaltas climbed the podium by bagging 1st Position in the Jalandhar Sahodaya Inter-School Hindi Poem Recitation Competition, which was held at Lala Jagat Narayan DAV Model School, Jalandhar on Saturday, April 29, 2022, in which 52 children from reputed schools in Jalandhar, Nawanshahr, Hoshiarpur, and Phagwara participated.

The debate competition’s topic was “Vishav Shanti.” The evaluation criteria were based on several parameters, including content, confidence, voice modulation, articulate and eloquent communication, and the rebuttal round.

With her powerful recitation, the exuberant Anushka Thakur received applause and praise from fellow contestants and esteemed judges.

Vivacious Principal, Ms Puja Dhiman, emphasised that this spectacular performance reflects that indomitable spirit and perseverance are the keys to success in all endeavours.

In her congratulatory message, poised Dean Dr Simerjeet Kaur stated that the ability to perform with passion, studied understanding of the topic, and blend of preparedness and self-belief, along with a rare streak of generosity, has fetched landmark achievement in the prestigious platform, and the school is committed to providing all required inputs so that our Woodlanders may carve a niche for themselves in all endeavours.
